RentQuest
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Matt Crypto (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with RentQuest (the “App”).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the App, including wallet-connected scanning features, account-closing transactions, locally stored history and settings, analytics and diagnostic data, and public blockchain activity associated with the App.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect or process the following categories of information.
A. Wallet and Blockchain Information
If you connect a supported Solana wallet, the App may process:
- your public wallet address;
- public token account, mint, and balance information queried from Solana or configured RPC endpoints;
- public transaction signatures associated with your use of the App;
- public blockchain records relating to account-closure transactions or rent recovery; and
- similar public blockchain information necessary to scan and process eligible accounts.
We do not collect or store your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet credentials.
B. Local Device and App Information
The App may store or process locally on your device:
- scan history and recovery history;
- totals such as recovered SOL, accounts closed, and achievement or badge progress;
- connected wallet address and local authorization or session state stored on-device;
- selected cluster, custom RPC URL, and similar app preferences; and
- locally cached transaction results and app state.
C. Transaction and Recovery Information
If you choose to use account-closing features, the App may process:
- token account identifiers selected for closure;
- reclaimable SOL estimates;
- transaction signature;
- transaction status and timestamp; and
- related public on-chain records.
D. Technical, Analytics, and Diagnostic Information
Depending on your device, operating system, wallet provider, or app-distribution platform, certain technical data may be made available to us or our service providers. Based on the current App configuration, this may include:
- crash logs and diagnostics;
- app interaction or feature-usage events;
- app instance, device, or analytics identifiers;
- performance information; and
- device or app compatibility information.
RentQuest currently uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for analytics and error reporting.
3. How We Use Information
We may use the information above to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the App;
- enable wallet connection and blockchain-enabled features;
- scan eligible token accounts and process closure transactions;
- show history, recovery totals, achievements, and app status;
- measure feature usage, diagnose crashes, troubleshoot issues, and improve app performance;
- detect bugs, prevent abuse, and maintain security;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- communicate with users who contact us for support.
4. Public Blockchain Disclosure
The Solana blockchain is a public blockchain. If you use blockchain-enabled features in the App, certain information may become permanently public, including:
- your public wallet address;
- transaction signatures;
- token account or transaction data associated with account closures; and
- public activity used to derive recovery history or related app state.
Public blockchain data is generally immutable and may remain publicly accessible indefinitely through blockchain explorers, indexers, analytics tools, and other third parties. We cannot delete or control information that has already been written to a public blockchain.
5. Local Storage and No Separate Central Recovery Database
The App stores certain history, totals, achievements, preferences, and wallet-related state locally on your device. Based on the current App design, we do not maintain a separate centralized database solely for storing your recovery history, token account selections, or similar app state outside of local device storage and public blockchain activity, except to the extent analytics, crash reporting, or a future version of the App introduces additional services.
If this changes later, this Privacy Policy should be updated before publishing the new version.
6. How We Share Information
We may share or disclose information in the following circumstances:
- with wallet providers you choose to use;
- with Solana RPC providers, validators, node operators, and custom RPC endpoints you choose, as needed to read or submit blockchain data;
- with Google Firebase and other analytics, crash reporting, hosting, support, or infrastructure providers, if used;
- with app-store and device-platform providers;
- if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or similar legal process; or
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, or business reorganization.
We do not sell your private keys because we do not collect them.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Legal Bases and Consent
Depending on your jurisdiction, we may process information based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- performance of a contract with you;
- your consent;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App; and
- compliance with legal obligations.
When you connect a wallet or sign a transaction, you are choosing to use blockchain-enabled features that inherently involve public blockchain processing.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including legal, operational, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
Local device data remains on your device until you delete the App, clear app storage, or otherwise remove the data. Public blockchain data may remain available indefinitely. Analytics and crash-reporting data may be retained according to our service-provider settings and operational needs.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information we process. However, no method of electronic transmission, mobile storage, analytics reporting, or blockchain interaction is completely secure. You are responsible for the security of your device, wallet, seed phrase, connected accounts, and any custom RPC endpoints you choose to use.
10. Your Choices
Depending on how you use the App, you may be able to:
- choose whether to connect a wallet;
- decline to sign blockchain transactions;
- disconnect your wallet;
- change network settings or custom RPC configuration where supported;
- delete local App data by uninstalling the App or clearing app storage; and
- contact us to ask questions about our privacy practices.
Please note that disconnecting a wallet or deleting the App will not remove information already recorded on a public blockchain or necessarily remove analytics and crash data already processed by third-party services.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
12. International Users
If you access the App from outside the country where Matt Crypto is based, you understand that information may be processed in other countries and on decentralized global blockchain infrastructure that is not tied to a single jurisdiction.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will become effective when posted, unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
